I am excited to start working with clients in this new leg of my journey as a wellness coach.

Everything I have accomplished in my 52 years has revolved around connections — changing, growing, challenging myself and learning from each experience. My goal is to incorporate life coaching with what I offer at Zen Revolution so I can work one-on-one with clients and help them set goals to transform their lives in positive and productive ways.

My approach is to cater to the highly individualized needs of each client. Whether it be physical, emotional or spiritual, wellness assumes myriad and varied forms. I help each client set goals and work toward their desired outcomes, holding them accountable in ways that reflect personalized accomplishment, while acknowledging that success is an ever-evolving process.

Throughout my life, I’ve learned that strength comes from vulnerability. I have grown and changed throughout the years because of my willingness to dig deep into the parts of myself that needed to change. I will customize a program with clients based on my knowledge about healthy choices and encompassing how to attain overall wellness, recognizing and avoiding addiction by utilizing Myofascial Release, yoga, hiking and other proactive methods of self-improvement. Incorporating what I love to do by combining physical fitness with emotional well-being can help others shift and change their lives from a broader and holistic perspective.

If you would like to work with me we can schedule 3, 4, or 5 coaching sessions.

Let me help you reach your personal summit and then search for that next mountain to climb.

Background

Since moving to Vermont in 1995, I initially taught tennis and later became a Spanish Teacher at Burr and Burton Academy.  Subsequently, I coached a variety of sports at Burr and Burton.  While at BBA, I co-led the prestigious, “Senior Leaders Program”, the participants of which are now called “Freshmen Mentors”.  I have always loved working with kids and being part of their lives, whether teaching in a classroom or teaching spin and yoga. I loved coaching teams at the high school level and have long been passionate about helping others.

To have a broader impact on our community, I founded two, non-profit organizations.  The first was “Heartworks,” whose underlying premise was to “commit random acts of kindness.” I spearheaded multiple fundraising efforts and distributed goods and funds to a wide array of local families in need.  This grassroots effort attracted dozens of committed volunteers who were at the forefront of relief in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene, and whose members spent countless hours collecting and distributing clothing, food and other essential items throughout our community.

The other organization I founded was “Unplugged” where I worked with groups of kids who agreed to unplug their electronic devices, and instead enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

Four years ago, I opened “Zen Revolution,” a fitness studio that offers indoor cycling, yoga , strength and Myofascial stretching classes, all within a framework of wellness and positive energy.   I am passionate about connections, healing our bodies and minds and living our best lives. I love wellness for the body, mind and soul. I have been on an inward journey for the past 20 years and have deepened my ability to stay in the moment and be grateful for each day.  Inspired by nature, I recognize that change happens along with the seasons; in each day as I reflect upon the sunrise and sunset, I value commitment, perseverance and choosing to do the work necessary to make the world a better place. I love to climb mountains, as it is a great metaphor for life.
