CONGRUENCE - WHERE INTENTION & OUTCOME MEET
What are you trying to teach as a yoga teacher, not just on the surface but at the deep reaches? What are you aiming to learn or gain as a student? What is it that motivates you to teach and to practice? How are you teaching that? How do you approach learning the intended outcome?

How do you take where you are as a teacher and/or student and move the needle of intention closer to the outcome? How do you adapt or toss the things that aren’t working, create new practice and teaching techniques for the ones that get tossed? How do you create a practice experience that is effective, personal and your own both as the teacher and the student?

Teaching and practicing yoga in group classes can be a beautiful and inclusive experience of individual self discovery, but it can also be one that feels impersonal, exclusive, and about just trying to keep up to please everyone. The community aspect of a yoga practice is one of the things that a lot of students love and it can be expanded to be more inclusive and personal, leading to more acceptance and ease within each student.

The information and tools that we are trying to teach are sometimes missed and can be difficult to integrate and understand as the student. How do you teach people to make skillful choices as an individual within a group setting? How do you make it safe for students to explore their individuality and their patterns of belief? How do you facilitate student choices that may be different than usual, even confrontational to you as teacher?

Every body is different. Every mind is different. There are so many diverse styles of classes these days. What each person needs in order to learn the concepts presented in yoga is unique. Come spend a weekend with Alexandria Crow taking all these seeming differences of body, mind, and style of class and work to create a classroom experience that is deeply personal and individually effective.
Sessions will include practice, lecture on the topic, mechanics/anatomy of the body, and class planning worksheets and tools.

Lion’s Gate Sacred Sound Healing Event

Energy Shaman Melody Joy and Sound Healer Brendan Clark are coming together to create a powerful evening of relaxation, journey and transformation. Melody Joy has been working in the healing field for 15 years with focus on Energetic Shamanism for the last four years. Brendan Clark, the owner of Siriusconsciousness LLC , has been healing through the use of Quartz Crystal Bowls for several years.

Come relax, receive and be rejuvenated during this ONE TIME special evening event!!!

Lion’s Gate is a powerful energetic gateway when the cosmic veil is thin during the astrological season of LEO. It can be likened to an Eclipse or Full or New Moon, but more potent. This window only occurs once a year and can be a beautiful time to allow us to access greater strength, clarity and power that can help us align with the deeper part of our being. Melody Joy will perform divine energy healing transmissions as Brendan transmits the soul healing frequencies of the crystal bowls.

Sound Healing has been called the medicine of the future as it effects our mind, the body and the soul in a gentle, yet profound way. Sound waves are used as a conduit to amplify divine healing from source energy to transform the individual and create a harmonious state of well being. Various degrees of consciousness can be explored which clear communication from Gaia, the heart, the brain and to the collective super conscious, or unified heart.

We are excited to offer this Sacred Sound Bath and look forward to seeing you and being with you.

There is a suggested donation of $25, however ALL are encouraged to come and any monetary donation is welcomed.
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a blanket and pillow.

Feel free to contact Melody Joy at stretchdancebreathe@yahoo.com

Self Myofascial Release Series

to Mar 13

Self Myofascial Release Series

When fascia becomes restricted it can cause changes in our bodies natural alignment causing pain and limiting movement. Learn more about your fascial system along with self myofascial release techniques using foam rollers, therapy balls and stretching. Decrease pain while increasing flexibility.

Fascia is a web-like system of connective tissue that runs head to toe without interruption, through and between every single cell of our bodies. Trauma, inflammation, and postural misalignment can cause fascial restrictions which produce symptoms such as pain, headaches, disease, and dysfunction. Yet until recently, the fascial system has been largely ignored by most health care professionals and cannot be seen in standard tests such as X-rays and MRIs.

We will work with the low back, head, neck, legs, pelvic region and more.

Some of you have taken classes and enjoy the self treatment techniques. This series will allow the same group of clients to go a bit deeper and each class will focus on a specific part of the body. You will learn more about the fascial system too! Our bodies and emotions are inextricably linked!

Series is $60 or $20 drop ins for classes. All classes are 75 minutes.
